Kids R Us Pre-School
What We Offer
We follow the EYFS Framework for early years and all children will be given a key worker and parents will be fully informed of their child’s development through our online system.
We will have a variety of different activities and resources on offer for the children to stimulate and engage them both indoors and outdoors, we are a child led free- flow setting.
Staff will plan their sessions, days and weeks with children based on the EYFS themes and principles and children’s interests. Staff will use observations and in the moment planning structure of their key children to help notice early leaning goals for each of their key children. We will use ‘tapestry’ to communicate what children are doing.

Our homely pre school is a free- flow child-led environment where we adapt the space each day around the children’s interests ideas and early learning goals.
There will always be activities on offer that always support each area of learning. The organised activities will support the development of each child and an enthusiasm to try new things and challenge themselves.
We follow a child centred approach and children are free to choose activities and resources as they wish. We provide activities for all types of play experiences and types. There will always be a selection of activities and resources available, including dressing up, home corner, craft, board games, construction, physical play, cookery, and reading.

Children
We value our staff, their hard work and commitment to their roles. We want them to feel valued, motivated and listened too. We are proud to have a low staff turnover, we feel listening to staff and giving them opportunity for future progression and development is important. Staff will be part of continuous professional development and put on training courses where they need to be updated or learn extra skills. We have yearly in-house training where all staff participate in company procedures on safeguarding, first-aid, behaviour management, EYFS, company values, parent communication, equalities and special educational needs and food hygiene. We also use an online platform ‘flik training’, all staff are to complete the comprehensive section of online courses every two years.
Can't recommend After School/Holiday Club enough. Always plenty of activities for kids to do and great trips + extra activities in the holidays. The staff are always friendly and 'hands on' with the kids. The new room/hall at St Matthews is so much better than before and has improved the after school club experience. My child loves holiday club!

Kids R Us are a brilliant choice for wrap around care. From breakfast club at 7.30am, to afterschool club till 6pm, oh and did I mention holiday club with day trips! The staff are great and so lovely, the space the club has is fantastic, and a great chance to build and tailor it with the help of the kids, they always offer a variety of activities and to top it all, the kids get to make friends with children from other schools. Forgot to mention adhoc sessions, and a great booking system!

Many thanks for the fantastic job you are doing at kids club. I think Kids R Us is a fantastic asset to the school, such a reassurance for us as parents and the kids seems to be totally thriving- it has done miracles for Z’s social skills already- no longer shy of making friends :).
